How long do carpets take to dry after cleaning?
Most carpets are touch-dry within 2 to 6 hours and fully dry within 24, because hot-water extraction pulls the bulk of the moisture straight back out. Good airflow — open windows or the air movers we can bring — speeds it up. Wool and thick pile hold more water and take a little longer.
Do you move the furniture?
We move small and medium items — dining chairs, coffee tables, light sofas — and clean underneath, then put them back on protectors. Very heavy or fragile pieces (large wardrobes, pianos, display cabinets) are left in place and cleaned around. Clearing what you can before we arrive gets you the most thorough result.
Can you remove pet stains and smells?
Usually, yes. Pet urine needs an enzyme treatment that breaks down the odour-causing residue, followed by extraction — a surface spray alone will not fix it. Where urine has soaked through into the underlay over a long period, the padding itself can hold the smell and may need replacing; we will tell you honestly what is realistic after we inspect it.

Wool, silk-blend and oriental rugs are fibre-tested and cleaned with a method matched to the material and its colourfastness — never a blast of hot water that risks shrinkage, browning or dye bleed.
