James runs Wycombe Cleaning Co from High Wycombe and still works on the vans — it keeps standards up and it means the person who wrote the checklists is the same person using them on a Saturday, with a real deposit on the line.
On any given Saturday I am still on the vans — scrubbing ovens in Marlow, photographing limescale removal in Beaconsfield, signing off inventory checklists in Amersham. That is not a marketing pose; it is the only way the standards stay where I want them while we are small.

Team Lead — End of Tenancy
Trained to the AIIC inventory standard. Carries the tablet on every job, signs off the photo handover report, and personally calls the letting agent if anything is flagged. Recruited from established Bucks cleaning teams, not from agency rosters.

Recurring Domestic Cleaner
Each weekly client gets the same cleaner, every visit. Builds rapport over months — knows where the spare keys are, which cupboard the hoover lives in, which days the bins go out.

Airbnb Turnover Specialist
Trained on the photo-staging side as well as the cleaning. Runs through linen, restock, welcome-tray reset, and timestamped photo handover in 75 minutes. Available across Marlow, Bourne End, Maidenhead Airbnb stock.

How we hire
Cleaning sector turnover runs at 70%+ industry-wide. The standard answer is to staff up with whoever applies and accept the churn. We do not.
Local recruiting only. We hire from Wycombe, Marlow, Hazlemere, and surrounding villages. People who live in our coverage area, not commute in.
Enhanced DBS check before first job. No exceptions. Renewed annually. Certificates available to letting-agent accounts on request.
Paid trial day. Two to three real jobs alongside a team lead, paid at full rate. Both sides decide if it works.
Above-Real-Living-Wage pay. UK Real Living Wage for 2026 is around £12.60/hr; we sit above that, with holiday pay, paid travel, and timesheet-honest hours. Rushed cleaners cut corners.
Written checklist on every job. No improvisation. The checklist is the contract.
What every team member commits to
Arrive on the agreed time slot, with a 15-minute heads-up if traffic is bad.
Work to the written checklist for the booked service. Never freelance the scope.
Photograph oven before-and-after, bathroom limescale, and any pre-existing damage on arrival.
Use we use method, ecover and bio-d as standard. stronger chemistry (descalers, degreasers) only where needed on heavy limescale, oven carbon, and grout mould.
Sign off the checklist (or the agent inventory) before leaving.
Escalate any scope dispute to James immediately rather than guessing.
